My Name Is Christine Gold, My daughter is Kelly Gold age 35. About 32 years ago, Kelly was diagnosed in London with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome, and it was so rare they used her for the new text books. It was very frightening.
I could not find another child like her any where in America or England. Then when she was about 10, I saw this add in the exceptional parent magazine (no longer in print) from Becky Richardson. She also had a son with the same syndrome.
So with about six families who saw the ad we arranged to meet in De Moines, Idaho. I think that was one of the best weekends of my life. We were not alone. This is what this group is all about. You are not alone.
