About Susan

Immediately after his birth, our doctors told us that something was wrong with our son.  Within 24 hours, several more doctors were introduced to us – each providing worse case scenarios.  Over the next several months, we spent long nights in the children’s hospital and learned new medical terms and conditions.  Our dreams seemed dashed and life was forever going to be changed. What we have come to realize, that our life has been changed in a way we didn’t expect.  Our son, though battling unique disabilities, has far more abilities.  Most significant – his ability to touch the lives of others.  Over the years, we have been able to watch our son change the lives of others and help them grow in compassion, empathy, and love.  As a result, we have come to realize what a precious gift we have been given as a son with Wolf-Hirschhorn Syndrome.
