REGIONAL GATHERINGS 2011
As always, the 4P- Support Group’s regional gatherings are FREE to members of the 4p- Support Group. 4p-/WHS parents who are not members of the 4p- Support Group are also welcomed to attend. 4p- children and their families are welcome to attend as many, and any of the gatherings that are taking place throughout the country.
REGION 1 (ME, VT, NH, CT, PA, DE, MA, NY, RI, NJ, QC, NB)
Region 1 Gathering Hosted by Jim and Jenn Shellenberger in Mechanicsburg, PA on Sunday, June 26 from 1:00pm – 5:00pm.

REGION 2 (WV, VA, FL, GA, TN, NC, SC, AL, MS, KY, MD)
The Region 2 Gathering will be hosted by Lance and Tiffany Miller in Tuscaloosa, AL on Saturday, July 9th.
Optional dinner at Baumhower’s Wings Friday night for meet and greet. Each guest will be responsible for their own bill.
Saturday’s gathering will be held at the RISE, pictured below, in the ADA accessible common area. Tentatively, the schedule will be: breakfast, discussion time, a catered lunch, followed by another discussion time. We will be providing childcare during portions of the day.

REGION 3 (ND, SD, NE, IA, MN, WI, IL, OH, MI, IN, MB, on)
We are so happy to announce that Region 3 will have four gatherings!
1) MICHIGAN
Jacqueline Leich is planning a Region 3 Gathering Michigan on Saturday, July 16th. The gathering will be at a nearby Metro Park. The park offers a wonderful water park (photo below) for all to enjoy; this will especially be great for some of the older kids who may “be bored” with what the adults are doing and chatting about. The park is Lower Huron Metropark and is near Metro Airport with many nearby hotels. The gathering will be from 12pm until dark.

2) west WISCONSIN
The West Wisconsin Gathering will be held on Saturday, July 16th 2011 from 11am to 5pm. The gathering will be hosted by Russ and Wendy at The Trout’s house, 2159 128th St., New Richmond, WI 54017.
We are in western WI, just on the other side of the river from MN (about 1 to 1 ½ hours from the Minneapolis area) and about 5-6 hours from the Milwaukee area. We are so excited to be able to host this gathering and to see old faces and maybe some new faces. Please feel free to contact Russ or myself (Wendy) if you have any questions. We will have a good old fashion BBQ; food and fun for adults and kids of all ages. Come visit and strengthen the bonds that tie our families together. 3) east WISCONSIN
The East Wisconsin Gathering will be hosted by John and Cindy Helm on Saturday, July 23rd at 1827 17th Avenue, Grafton, WI. Join the Helm family for lunch and an afternoon of fun. For more information contact: jhelm30@hotmail.com or call 262-376-9503.
4) OHIO
An additional Region 3 Gathering will be hosted by Dave and Amanda Lortz on June 18th from 10:30am until 10:30pm. The gathering will be held at the Village of Johnstown’s recreation center (pictured below) at 185 West Maple Street which has an air conditioned banquet hall, basketball court, tennis court and playgrounds. A pot-luck style lunch will be served around 12:00pm. After lunch we will watch the 2010 4p- Support Group’s National Conference picture slideshow on the projector screen. A hot Italian dinner will be served around 5:30pm. After dinner, weather permitting, we will move the party down the road to the Lortz’s backyard for a bon fire and s’mores. We hope you will be able to come and meet other 4p-/WHS families in the area for a fun filled day, and to build new and existing friendships and share stories with people who understand. REGION 4 (TX, LA, OK, AR, MO, KS, CO)
The Region 4 Gathering will be hosted by Chris and Cassie Morrow in Killeen, Texas on June 11th from 11am – 3pm.

REGION 6 (HI, CA, AZ, NV, NM)

Come join us for a fun filled day at the famous Riley’s Farm in Oak Glen and meet with friends and families of other 4p- children. Take pictures and share your stories, while enjoying the fresh air. The kids will be sure to enjoy picking fruit, going for a hay ride, feeding animals, and playing games. Hope to see you there!
